One of the random thoughts early in the morning. SKU and Laputa are 2 completely differently anime, but when you really think about them, they have striking smiliar elements:

1. The 2 'eternal' castles floating in the sky

2. That people do not know of them or see them from the outside

3. Castles hidden with power, miracles, and all the mysteries

4. That everyone wants to get there and grab a piece of the treasure

5. A significant amount of twisting and turning is needed on the way there

6. It is actually the tomb for the royalities and only the dead people live there

7. A bad guy with royal blood who does all the dirty tricks in order to reach the castle

8. But he gets nothing at the end except his own failure

9. A noble girl, a chosen one with the road to the castle prepared for her

10. Who knows nothing about the castle

11. And care less about the 'goodies' inside

12. She has a family name with a reference to the sky above

13. And holds a jewelry that will opens the 'door' and lead her to the castle

14. A spell that ignites the power of the castle

15. At the end, nobody really obtains anything major from the castle itself but learns a lesson of the life-time.
