Grant Me Power to Revolutionize The World!

Ok, so there is finally something that makes me excited enough that I must write a blog ^^;;

You know what I've got? I've got swords! The duelists' swords in Shoujo Kakumei Utena. Well, sort of. It is halloween season, and Shoppers Drug Mart (a biggest drug store in Canada, the one I work with) is selling plastic swords for halloween. The coolest thing is, they resemble very much like the duelists' sword in Shoujo Kakumei Utena! I've seen these sword in ebay actually when I search for Utena stuff. Seeing them in front of your eyes and the price is so darn cheap is fancinating. I must buy them ^^;;. I've bought the one that looks like Dio's sword (the one Utena uses). I have to pull out a anime or manga picture to compare to see how much different it is, but from what I remember, the style is the same, just the "jewels" on the bottom and the side of the handle are different. I've also got the one that kinda look like Jury's sword. There is another style that looks like Miki's sword and another one I have to check.... it is at least the kind that a thousand of them stab Anthy at the end of the series..... o.o;; They are on sale for just $2.99 CAD. If you are a big Utena fan like me or like to cosplay Utena, I think these sword would be close enough without spending a lot of money ^^. Go to Shoppers Drug Mart to buy them before they went out or got all broken by naughty kids.... Seriously, 90% of the swords in my store are broken. If you are not in Canada, they are probably sold at other stores too for halloween. I really don't think we are the only one that is selling them. Look for "PMG Halloween 26" Swords and Scabbards".

Ohh..... they are so cool. *having fun playing with the swords* ^^

Hard Drive and Domain (Part II)

Konnichiwa! Thanks to Shalimar's rescure, my hard drive is replaced now, and everything is working fine. If it dies again in 10 years, Quantum hard drive will be forever banned from my properties. Domain is doing well also. Everything is restored in the new host. If anyone see any cgi stuff not working properly, please let me know. I might not have CHMOD everything right. But so far, everything is working from what I can see. Next step is to put new content on the site. There are a lot of projects I can do, but right now, I got to read the "Florence Nightingale" book FAST. I mean FAST. Then I have to do some webpage review for LAR fast too o.o;;

"Will you host my site?"

I've actually been asked again if I would host people's sites. Err... the answer is no. I've answered in FAQ page already. I only have 350mb in my hosting plan and my site is using over 100mb already and it is definitely growing. You got to know that you don't really want my domain URL for your site because your site URL will get censored by message boards, chats, guestbooks, Neopets, etc, etc. Even if you don't mind, I'm very very picky on the content on my domain and my requirements are very strict:
1. Your site must work and look decent enough in Netscape 4.
2. I must like you a lot and like your site a lot. You have to be either my best friend online, my boyfriend, or a very special friend that impress me a lot by your personality and talent.
3. You have be experienced in making webpages. Your site can't look any worse than my own.
4. You must obey and not be upset at all if I tell you to fix your html and design because there is a mistake or it doesn't work properly in Netscape 4. And better, since I have access to your files, I would go fix your page myself and you can't complain about it.
5. You must be able to spell reasonably well.
6. Your site has no porns, hentai, homosexual, hatred, racism, or R-rated subject matter. It cannot have Anti-something page and it cannot bash Christianity or have any anti-God, anti-christian content. You agree that I can terminate hosting your site anytime if I have a problem with its content and you refuse to solve the problem.

Now, I don't think anybody can accept these requirements....

Hard Drive and Domain

Ami-chan (my computer) is not well. The hard drive arrived today, so hopefully it will be install soon and fix the problem o.o;; *pets Ami-chan* I'm using my old computer now, which still crashes more often than the sick Ami-chan. *waiting for "doctor" Shalimar to come fix the hard drive*

Rushita.com has switched over the new DNS. Everythings looks ok now except I haven't uploaded the message board yet. I'll take me a while to configurate the permissions. Other than that, I'm quite positive about the performance of the new host.

Important Domain News

I've got vacation reports and stuff to write, but before I do that, this is the most important announcement. Rushita.com is in the process of changing host. Right now I'm waiting to get the DNS change and the domain point to the new host. This will take place probably within a week, and I can only upload the whole site to the new host after the DNS change over. By downloading my whole site to my computer keeping all the directories in the right place, I finally know that my site is slightly over 100mb in size. During the period of change over, the domain Rushita.com might be down for a short period of time. Uploading 100mb to the new host will not take long with my connection, but all cgi scripts will take longer because I need to configurate the CHMOD thingy. My new host will be Hostrocket.com, and if anyone knows how to go to the control panel to upload everything before the DNS changes over, please let me know. The URL for the control panel they provided wouldn't work.

Another thing is, my computer is having hard drive problem. It fails to detect something that it should be detecting and I think it is half-dead. But it manage to work enough to run window, only crashing once a while. The situation seems to be in control right now while I'm waiting for a new hard drive to come. I almost forgot I still have my old computer connected to internet, so I actually can do my daily thing as usual even if this hard drive dies *hopes it won't*. I can upload the site to the new host over at my old computer too. I got my site burned on a CD now.

So....crossing fingers and hope everything will turns out fine quickly.

Airports and Airlines......*sighs*

Ok, Rushita can get some sleep now. My missing luggage finally came home. x.x;;

Rushita is now back to her dear home sweet home in Toronto, set the washing machine on and reorganizing from her Hong Kong-Altanta trip, before going to Ohio. Rushita didn't find her luggage at the airport, which freaked her out. x.x;; Paranoid, totally paranoid. I knew something like this would happen. It had happen to me before, and that's why whenever I pack, I have to make sure the most important stuff are on my hand-carry bag, and that's why I give at least a day between my 2 trips....... just in case something like this would happen. So now the luggage is here and I must do laundry so I have clean clothes tomorrow to bring to Ohio e.e;;

I arrived kinda late last night after hunting for my luggage and the delay of the plane. I only had a cup noodles and another noodle like the cup noodles last night. Wasn't in a mood to eat or do anything before my luggage comes home. I just didn't want to go to bed and I actually stayed up to 5am this morning and caught a cold from the freezing basement e.e;; I got a call from United delivery service before 7am said they are delivering my luggage some time from 10am to 2pm today. Waking me up in the middle of my dream of the sexy Ikuhara-san (producer of Shoujo Kakumei Utena) 7 o'clock in the morning better be a good reason like this!! Then I got up before 10am waiting for my luggage. I have to actually sit in the family room to wait for it to come because I can't hear the door bell here in the computer room down in the basement. After my dad fixed the connection wire of the door bell a while ago, it is worse than before. I think we should get a new and loud door bell with a fancy tone.

The Wedding
It went ok, wasn't very long. I'm completely against the idea of having a religious wedding in a church when the bride and groom don't go to church or even believe in God anymore. This is why I don't like Catholics wedding in Hong Kong. Anybody (even just either the bride or the groom) with a baptism certificate (whatever they call it.....don't think they call it "baptism"...) can have the wedding service in a Catholic church. They just want it to look good because everybody's dream wedding is in a church whether they belong to any church or not, or whether they actually believe in God. So the whole wedding ceremony in the Catholic church is meanlingless. The bride and the groom don't care what the "father" (i.e., the preist) said. I don't think they even care one of the vow they make in church, which is to teach their children to walk in the Truth and teach them to know God. If you don't believe in God yourself, how are you going to teach your children about God and have faith in God? It is a sin, a big sin to make such a lie in Church, witnessed by the God, the "father", and all the relatives and friends. Such wedding ceremony the bride and the groom don't care, the relatives and friends don't care about the sermon and prayer and the destinated response sentances which are supposed to be part of a prayer. Nobody really cares about the actual religious thing in the ceremony. I don't understand why people won't just have their wedding at the non-religious chapel in the government building. Fortunate enough, Christian churches won't do that. Both of the bride and groom gotta be real christians (baptised or not) before the rev. will marry them.

AWA 8
Didn't watch anime videos or other things in the schedule as much as I wanted. We wandered around hunting for bishounen...well...and bishoujo.....by camera ^^;; Taking cosplay pictures is good. If I couldn't do anything in AWA, taking lots of pictures so I can put them up on my site is still a good task. I couldn't believe AWA had the same amount of people (if not more) attented as Anime North. The convention space was about the same size as Anime North, but I didn't seem to see that many people. I wonder where everybody went e.e;; Comparing Anime North 2002 with AWA8, AWA was much more organized, things were better prepared even though there were things that wasn't satisfactory, like the ball.... AWA's dealers room was much better. There were definately more varieties and things they sell were a lot more interesting, and the prices were better, even after converting them to Canadian $$. Some dealers takes credit cards, which was good, because none of us had much cash on hand. Unfortunately I couldn't buy much because my luggage was already full after the Hong Kong stop and my Canadian resident tax exemption limit was already full. I don't want the Canadian custom people to open my luggage and charge me rediculous tax for things that Canada didn't play any part in. AWA didn't have as much cosplayers as Anime North. Well, at least I didn't see as much. I kept seeing the same people over and over again and as I said, I really don't know where that "3500" figure came from @_@;; Also, cosplayers in AWA didn't do as much character. They cosplayed as the same character all 3 days so there weren't as many new photo to shot everyday. The closing ceremony was very long and dragging, so were a lot of events that were facitiated by the MC. Maybe Atlanta people are just not in as fast pace as big city Torontorian. There were no featured guests that were interesting enough, as far as I could tell, and there wen't that many choices for food close to the con. Food did become a problem and eating healthy wasn't always possible. As far as I see, food in US (well, as least in Atlanta) is more expensive than in Canada. It was definitely a good time for me to go on diet o.o;; since I kept saying I need to lose some weight in Hong Kong. I wish I had time to see different place in Atlanta, not just the hotel and the airport e.e;;

Now, about the Moonwings people. It was really interesting to meet people in person. I must remind myself that people in real life can actually be quite different from how I perceive them online. And because I can tell a person very well by looking at his/her face, I would trust that what I saw in person was a more accurate picture of the person.

Ocha - A very mature, very motherly nice lady ^^. We all agreed on that. Regardless how much older I am, I think she is actually more mature than me. She is actually more talkative and "hyper" (not really hyper, but sorry Ocha, I can't think of a better word) than how I see her online. Well, maybe I'm just missing some important forums.... Let me not to forget to mention, she is a very pretty and attractive lady. She also has a fashion taste that I agree with very much (well....I'm just different...^^;;). Her clothes look very well on her.
Diana - Surpringly, she is more quiet than she is online. Maybe she is a bit shy. She has a very different gentle voice that doesn't sound like it would be from someone who wants to take over the world *laughs*.

The Demon - Well, "demon" doesn't fit him at all. I didn't really know him much online before, so this is really new. He is a really nice gentleman, honest and straightforward. From his face, I can tell he has a really good heart. Well, if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me ^^;; Oh, and he is good looking too. Lucky Diana. ^^;; I kept forgetting how old he really is because the way he looked and acted was more mature than his actual age.

Pan, the brother - Pan is a good looking young man too. Diana said that before. He had hardly spoken during the trip so we didn't really know much about him. But from what I observed, he is actually a pretty good guy, not as naughty as he seems to be online. I think he is actually quite innocent and straightforward. He and his koneneko together are just adorable ^^. I think we need to take him out to see the world a little more.

- blog unfinished, more to come -
On second thought, I might not finish it. I just lost about 500 words the second part of the blog that I've typed right before I press the "make changes" button. I'm not in a mood to redo them. In short, both Eve and Sage are nice people and fun that too bad I didn't spend much time with them........ and that Chicago airport sucks.... United Airline sucks.... except that one pretty and nice flight attendent lady.

When I feel like to retype everything, I might. Right now, I need food and sleep e.e;;
